“Feed My Lambs” – a command of Jesus’ that led to the opening of St. Paul Lutheran School is a mission that lives today. Since 1889, St. Paul Lutheran School began as a one room Christian Day School with 14 pupils. It has served the Grand Crossing community and the South Side of Chicago ever since.
As the church’s congregational needs grew, so did the school. In 1934, the school expanded to K through 6th grades. Today, the school offers PRE-K through 8th grades.
This foundational school ministry has created a legacy of generations of families who have grown to know Christ through their experiences at St. Paul Lutheran School.
At St. Paul Lutheran School, that tight-knit family culture remains intact today. Children are recognized as unique and every child is seen, heard, and encouraged to flourish and become all that God meant them to be.
